This is my first post of 2009 as well as my first post from oversea. (: Over here is currently windy but still hot as ever. I am supposed to be attenting a wedding right now but being the lazy person I am, I didn't go and went over to my relative's internet cafe shop to type up this blog.
So I decided that I should do a quick recap on what I had done so far during this trip since I finally got a hold of a computer. XD Hopefully, my short term memory span doesn't kick in while I'm typing this out.
Day 01 - 10
Right when I got off the plane, I had to take a shutter bus to enter the airport. Then after that, I had to get in line so that I can get checked in and stuff but I didn't know the address of the place I am staying at in the city, so I had to call my god dad and ask him. <__<;; That took forever, but luckily looking for my belongs was easy. After that I stayed in the city and traveled around a bit. Christmas was interesting and much different then back home. Normally, during this time of year, there isn't supposed to be rain, but it rained on Christmas but it was fun.
Day 11 - 15
While I was still in the city, VietNam had beaten Thailand in soccer. It took them 10 years to beat them again and man did they go wild. I was with my nephew and his friends drinking this smoothe at a coffee shop and right when they won, everyone went crazy. I didn't know know what was going on, so I had to keep asking my nephew, haha. I think that he got annoyed of me for asking too much questions. But it was a fun night even though I though I got yelled at for not telling anyone that I stayed out for the whole night, but it was worth it. After that, I ended up spending the first few hours of New Year's in the car going to my mom's homeland.
Day 16 & 17
Yesterday I went around Ben An while my nephew and his friends. We ended up at this tourist place near this temple and ate seafood, but being that over in the States it was my parent's birthday, I felt a tad bit homesick so I didn't eat nor drink anything. At night I felt less homesick and attented a nearby wedding with my nephew and stayed there with him until 1am. The next day, I went over to Ha Tien to visit my grandparent's grave and the rest of the family on my dad's side. Then after that, I went to go eat seafood and drank water while my nephew and his friends drank beer with their seafood. Tomorrow I might have to go over to a wedding or I can go with my nephew and his friends to the habor and go on a ferry.
